Haro’s Johnny 5 Electric Bike was designed to take life culture into the future, acknowledging their BMX heritage, yet ignoring all previously set boundaries of what a wheelie bike should be.
It is a game changer for commuting or for a chilled ride out on the weekend taking those steep hills out of the equation. Built with a lightweight yet really strong 6061 aluminium twin top tube design frame with chromoly fork and bars.
The Samsung 48 volt, 672wh battery that powers the Bafang 500w rear hub sits inside the down tube keeping it protected and out of sight without affecting that traditional bike shape and design, a Bafang LCD display on the left side of the bars has 5 power settings to choose from and a thumb throttle on the right side of the bars. Haro tested the Johnny 5 on power level 2 on rolling roads, getting the bike to cover 28 miles on a single charge.
